WKWB Board Meeting March 31, 2020

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the West Kentucky Workforce Board meeting on March 31, 2020 has been cancelled. The meeting action for March 31, 2020 has been moved to a conference call with the WKWB Executive Committee. If anyone would like to be a part of the call, please let me know and we will be happy to supply you with call in information and the meeting packet when available.

The Governor issued an Executive Order on Tuesday, March 17 prohibiting any face-to-face direct services by State employees. This order has impacted our career center services dramatically. The public will be able to be served by the local career centers staff who are onsite via phone or teleconferencing. The local center phone numbers are listed below:
Hopkinsville Career Center (270) 889-6509
Paducah Career Center (270) 575-7000
JobNet Career Center (Madisonville) 270-821-9966
Career Discovery Center (Murray) (270) 809-6770

Services will be available to include: unemployment insurance filing information, program eligibility, referral to jobs and employer services. Information will also be on the West Kentucky Workforce Board Facebook Page and website www.wkworkforce.work. We are working hard to overcome these constraints and will continue to adjust in order to assist those needing services. We are receiving updates from the Education & Workforce Development Cabinet daily as they continue to work to ensure that services are available to those in need.We will be sending out a Save the Date for our next meeting and hope to have it at Madisonville Community College as previously scheduled. Thank you for your patience and if you have any questions or need any additional information, please contact us. Stay healthy!
