Veterans Transition Liaison Job Opening

The Pennyrile Area Development District (PeADD) is seeking a qualified individual for the West Kentucky Workforce Board’s Veteran Transition Liaison.  Responsibilities center on implementing strategies to build and maintain military and community relationships in order to create and supply the talent pipeline for exiting military/veterans to local business/industry employment as well as to post-secondary training.  Coordinates with Solder for Life transition efforts, USDOL Veteran Programs, USDOL Dislocated Worker Programs.  Refers transitioning military and veterans to career services/employment activities/counseling.  Serves as a direct link to fulfill talent needs of business/industries. Tracks individuals’ data and their career activities. Prepares written and oral presentations.  Knowledge of local workforce sectors, business community and workforce system helpful. Covers the 17 counties of the West Kentucky Workforce Board.
